Description We are in the process of expanding our team in Newport Beach, California, with the addition of a Sr. Accountant. Operating within the detail-oriented Services industry, this role involves a mix of financial reporting, compliance, and the implementation of process improvements.Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards. Handle the processing and review of journal entries as well as bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Take the lead in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is timely and accurately reported. Provide technical accounting guidance to colleagues and stakeholders as needed. Support audit processes by providing necessary documents and information. Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain any discrepancies in financial data. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement these changes to increase efficiency within the finance team. Use your skills in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite to maintain accurate records and process data. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required. Mastery in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is essential. Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary. Familiarity with General Ledger management is crucial. Proficiency in making Journal Entries is a must. Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with Month End Close procedures is necessary. Proficiency in using NetSuite software is essential. Familiarity with Oracle software is a significant advantage. Knowledge of SAP software is desirable.
