As a Sr. Application Architect, you will be responsible for creating and implementing the cloud architecture of Statistics Applications that are being migrated to cloud. You will be collaborating with other STAR and System Architects to develop strategic initiatives, architecture patterns, refine program and product frameworks, and facilitate our organization strategic priorities.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops the Bank's application architectural strategy
  • Defines the development methods, guidelines, and standards to be used in software development and integration in collaboration with Systems partners
  • Defines transition steps and strategy from the current to the future application architecture
  • Manages an application architecture governance process
  • Leads the evaluation and selection process for application packages
  • Identifies organizational requirements for the resources, structures, and cultural changes necessary to support organizational change management initiatives
  • Assists in program to develop, maintain, and govern the architecture across the organization
  • Leads, consults, or oversees multiple architectural engagements
  • Viewed as an expert and provides knowledge and counsel to others
  • Participates in IT strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, business cases and business innovation portfolio development
  • Leads and coordinates domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction
  • Recommends allocation of budget to meet architectural initiatives
  • Develops, and communicates domain-wide policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures
  • Consults on enterprise-facing projects
  • Leads research and evaluation activities for technology solutions

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in computer science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Systems Analysis or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience with all aspects of a project from design through development, testing, implementation, and production with extensive technical breadth through experience in the IT industry
  • Experience in designing and developing cloud architecture on AWS Cloud platform
  • Extensive experience in designing and developing Java based applications and architectures.
  • Broad design expertise across VPC design, IAM definition, OS tuning/configuration, Lambda, Kubernetes, database tuning/configuration, DevOps toolchains, provisioning automation, service management, operations, and security.
  • Knowledgeable of DevOps and CI/CD automation tools such as Git, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, and cloud native scripting such as CloudFormation and ARM templates.
  • Knowledgeable of DynamoDB and RDS.
  • Deep understanding of AWS design best practices.
  • Must be a or holder with intent to become a U.S. Citizen
Desired Skills:
  • AWS Certification a plus
  • Knowledgeable of scripting with one or more: YAML, JSON, PowerShell, BASH or Python. Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration and management platform e.g., OpenShift or equivalent implementation.
  • In depth understanding of security controls and implementations in the cloud object, file, and block storage.
  • Cloud storage knowledge of services like S3, Blob storage, Swift, Rubrik, Cohesity.
