Experienced Assembler / Electronic TechnicianJob DescriptionAssembler / Electronic Technician to join our team. This is a 1st shift position with a 4/10 schedule, working from 6am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday, with occasional overtime on Fridays when needed. You will be working on Military & Defense grade switches and keyboards used in airplane cockpit control applications. This role involves performing assembly and testing on a wide range of mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic products, working from blueprints, established process specifications, written, and verbal instructions.Responsibilities
Perform wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on sub-assemblies and units.
Integrate sub-assemblies into final hardware.
Conduct functional testing on assemblies and perform basic electrical tests.
Identify and rectify product defects and assembly problems.
Complete device history records and daily production logs.
Prepare reports documenting the assembly process and any issues encountered.
Inspect and test assemblies to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
Follow clean room procedures and safety protocols.
Provide guidance to a team of assemblers.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of sub-assembly experience.
Experience with small part assembly (Medical, Aerospace, Electronics).
Ability to test and troubleshoot at the component level.
Proficiency in reading blueprints.
Skills in electrical assembly, soldering, and using test equipment such as oscilloscopes and voltmeters.
Knowledge of IPC and J-Standard.
Experience in electronics testing and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and write in English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
ITAR compliance.
Basic knowledge of working with small parts and assemblies.
No heavy lifting required (10-20lbs max).
