The Strategy, Risk + Analytics group shapes and communicates the overall Bank strategic direction, leads Bank-wide strategic planning efforts, advances the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, supports data-driven decision-making, and leads critical initiatives. The group works closely with Bank and Group leadership to accelerate innovation across the Bank, and drive collaboration, efficiency and effectiveness in Bank operations.

We are looking for a Sr. Business Analyst to join the Analytics team, responsible for supporting the execution and monitoring of Bank strategy through the development of technology tools and data analysis to generate insights and enable impactful, data-driven decision making. In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact with a broad set of stakeholders across multiple Groups as well as Bank leadership. You are comfortable with ambiguity, are deeply curious, and a continuous learner as you dive into new data sets, develop solutions, and unlock insights.

Highlights of Responsibilities:
  • Apply expertise in quantitative analysis and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and help inform, influence, support, and execute the Bank's strategy as a premier, mission driven public service organization
  • Act as an internal consultant by understanding business needs, prioritizing data requests, conducting analysis, synthesizing insights, and recommending solutions
  • Develop, test, and validate dashboards for various business partners and leaders
  • Provide ad-hoc or special project data analysis support to business leaders that enable them to achieve their goals, drive decision making and create new strategies
  • Partner with key stakeholders, sometimes including external parties, to assess and address internal needs and to model the outcome of potential business strategies
  • Lead and/or participate on team projects/programs to address business issues; project manage ongoing initiatives via meeting management, document organization, and follow ups. Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure successful project/program completion.
  • Demonstrate outstanding judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive data

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics/Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Business or related subject area, or equivalent work experience and training
  • Typically requires five or more years of relevant technical or business work experience
  • Intellectually curious and self-motivated to understand business domains and their data - strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • Proficiency in SQL; experience with SQL Server will be a plus
  • Expert level experience in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and Excel (complex formulas, pivots, macros, etc.)
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments, keep moving projects forward in a complex, ambiguous environment, and shift gears when new priorities arise
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain and present the findings of complex, technical work to non-expert audiences
  • Ability to work across various levels of an organization, building trust and encouraging collaboration

Preferred:
  • Working knowledge of Python or similar scripting/programming language
  • Knowledge of HR reporting and analytics
  • Experience with Workday is a plus
