Title: Sr. Business Systems Analyst (Data Analyst)

Note: The position can be 100% remote but preferred to have candidates who can periodically (2 x month) work at headquarters. (JCC San Francisco)

Job Description:

This position will support Judicial Branch data reporting, analytics, and visualization. The incumbent will conduct surveys to assess Power BI training needs in the Judicial Branch, assist in selecting a training vendor, and organize trainings. In this role, the candidate will also serve as a consulting resource for branch staff needing support with Power BI functionality or creating dashboards and will help design data governance around use of Power BI and data management. In addition, this position will also support data management and quality control for datasets managed by the Office of Court Research.

Minimum Job-Specific Skills/Qualifications Required (in order of relative importance):

Technical project management and documentation skills.
Ability to analyze issues from system documentation and recommend solutions.
Experience managing technical projects, including conflict resolution, issue escalations, status reporting and resource management.
Extensive experience with data visualization and software such as Tableau and Power BI.
Experience helping or training others to use Power BI.
Experience creating policy or governance documents.
Experience creating and executing data mappings and scripts to clean, compile and analyze data.
Excellent oral, written, analytical and communication skills with the ability to lead a technical discussion with both technical and non-technical staff.
Excellent analytical, verbal and conflict resolution skills.

Additional Skills/Qualifications Desired:

General:

Understanding of courtroom operations and workflow.
Experience in government (State) setting.
Excellent presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, including creating and presenting executive summaries to management and technical committees.

Technical:

Experience developing and implementing testing protocols for data and system quality.
Experience using R, Excel, Stata for data management, analysis, cleansing.
