The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco has a great opportunity for a Sr. Communications Specialist to join our Police Services Support Office team. In this role, you will lead the group's communication program. Our team collaborates with a dynamic leadership team to fulfill our vision - to be the best Police Services and Business Continuity Unit in the System! You must be a forward focused, strategic thinker who can communicate the right message at the right time.In this role, you will support Police Services and District Business Continuity group and build communication strategies in alignment with the group and Bank's strategy and culture. The successful candidate will deliver clear, concise, and consistent messages utilizing a variety of communication channels.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Plan communication and engagement activities according to business objectives.
  • Lead communication campaigns that have a measurable effect on Police Services and District Business Continuity group's employee engagement and culture.
  • Research and develop content, including but not limited to presentations, talking points, and strategic messages, for group leadership using their unique voice while meeting the needs of a diverse audience.
  • Apply project management skills to communication strategies and key events to ensure objectives are met on time and within scope.
  • Collaborate with key partners across the Bank to design, implement, and measure communication strategies and campaigns.
  • Work with group leadership and business partners to design, develop, and deploy group-level forums, including but not limited to group all-hands meetings, quarterly business planning meetings, and digital platforms.
  • Develop, produce, and distribute an annual report, announcements, weekly newsletter and other communications material and content.
  • Oversee the design and production of virtual and live events.
  • Design and deliver listening tools, including surveys, focus groups, and interviews, to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and plans.
  • Research and apply industry standard methodologies to keep content and strategies contemporary and in alignment with best-in-class experiences.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, or corporate communications or equivalent experience.
  • An experienced team player with typically five or more years of experience in corporate communications, marketing, or public relations.
  • Detail oriented and exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Power Point, and MS Word, Web Publishing tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of communications best practices, including techniques and standards relevant to writing, editing, formatting, composing, and producing written and web materials.
  • Proficient in event design and management.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 5% after health emergency.
