Job Description This position is fully remote based out of Southern California for a high-tech company working to change the way health care is delieved to patients. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This company is using cutting-edge technology to modernize the way health care is delievered to patients. They have been steadily growing the last 4 years and are in a place where they need a Sr. Data Engineer Manager to come in and hit the ground running.
This person will not have any direct reports. This person will be responsible for helping take majority of the people management duties off of the Director's plate. It will be hands-off and focused on owning the strategy and roadmap of technical architecture. Someone who knows tech well and able to jump in and be involved in the architecture when needed will be the best fit. Someone who isn't technical every single day but not far removed from it Required Skills & Experience- 5 years of Data Engineering Experience
- 2 years of People Management Experience
- Experience designing organization structure
- Experience managing vendor relationship management
- Experience managing through budgets
- Comes from a Data Engineering and Data Warehouse background (Snowflake, Big Query, Data Ingesting, Data Transformation and Data Analytics)
- Masters Degree or higher in Computer Science related field
- 100% Red Hat Linux
- 0% Windows Server 2010
- 5% Hands On
