Description We are offering a contract to permanent opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team in Foothill Ranch, California. This role is integral to our financial operations, with a focus on financial planning, reporting, and analysis. You will be working closely with departmental managers and will be required to understand and manage financial metrics.Responsibilities: Collaborate on current financial strategies and develop long-term financial plans Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial planning, including the use of pivot tables and VLOOKUPs Analyze reports from the Deltek system, comparing budgets to actuals, and identifying variances Assist in transitioning financial data into a SQL database as part of future system enhancements Work with departmental managers to understand and manage financial metrics, including gross and net retention rates, and customer acquisition costs Maintain accurate and detailed financial records Collaborate with the team to support the CFO's expanding workload Regularly review and update financial planning tools and systems Provide comprehensive financial reporting and analysis to inform strategic decision-making. Requirements The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Financial Analyst. Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling is essential. The applicant must be skilled in using tools such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Table for data management and analysis. Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) is required. The candidate should be capable of analyzing variances in financial data and provide insights. Experience in financial reporting including preparing financial statements, budget reports, and financial forecasts is required. The candidate should be able to present financial information to non-financial staff and stakeholders. The candidate should have strong analytical skills and attention to detail. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills for explaining complex financial information in an understandable manner. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required. The candidate should have strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities.
