Sr. Linux Engineer / Administrator

This position is remote, with occasional onsite meetings.

• Linux ‘hardening’ and patching, Patch management systems (i.e, RHEL Satellite or other)
• They are roughly 18 months behind on patching, and need to catch up
• They have a home-grown patching tool that is not operational
  • Candidate will be asked to evaluate it and see if it makes sense to get operational or…
  • They are open to procuring a patch management solution
  • Assessing environments and recommendations
• Linux environment is roughly 100 servers, with another cluster coming online in Paris soon
• Documentation is a critical task
• Flavors of Linux they are using today: Redhat, Centos, Ubuntu
• Have Linux environments in AWS and on-prem
• Ansible, Chef/Puppet a bonus
• Bash scripting

• Candidate should be a good listener and fully understand their environment before making any suggestions/recommendations
• Culture fit is very important (humble, hard working, good communicator, LISTEN before asserting, not too direct/abrupt)
• Good communication is critical
