Sr Manager - Sales Finance

The Opportunity: Mattel is currently seeking a Senior Manager of US Sales Finance in El Segundo, CA.  This role is a key member of the customer business team (CBT), demonstrating ownership of the business as well as managing all financial aspects of Mattel’s relationship with the nation’s largest retailers.  The position reports into the Commercial Finance Director GCFC/Sales Finance) with close partnership with the account Sales VP’s. What Your Impact Will Be:  Key Finance Business Partner for Sales leadership (25%):Work with sales leadership to develop customer goals for plan and forecasts,  communicate performance against forecast and work to deliver forecast resultsIdentify risks/opportunities to the business by understanding actual results and changes in the external and internal environmentDevelop and measure performance goals for Sales Incentive ProgramRepresent the finance point of view in cross-functional meetings (e.g., CBT meetings, executive management customer business reviews, and shipping forecast meetings) Manage Trade Spend (50%):Manage contractual trade spend by leading the development, forecasting, policy maintenance, execution and payout of contractual spend to ensure effective spend   Manage discretionary trade spend by leading forecasting, promotional execution and utilization of trade spend system to ensure effectiveness of spendPerform financial analyses including forecast modeling, trend analysis, sales projections, what-if scenarios, customer P&Ls and ROI analysis on account promotional programs Maintain Control Environment (25%):Ensure that deductions are processed in line with policy/discretionary programs and that issues identified are resolved or escalated in a professional way with sales and customers to resolve disputes in a timely and effective manner Ensure all SOX processes are followed and maintain appropriate records to manage our trade spendCross-functional partnership with Accounts Receivable, Sales, Controllers Office, FP&A and our Customer teams to help manage our trade spend and accounts receivable
