KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for TWO Sr. SQL Developers: troubleshooting, performance tuning, data modeling, SSRS for accounting / finance operations/reports required. The SQL Server Database Developer creates solutions for a variety of business problems. Develops the plan to design solutions, code, and test modifications and enhancements to the existing systems with a high level of reliability and execution speed. Provides assistance to the user during the implementation of the system or the modified solutions. Experience with SQL Server SSRS required. Knowledge of Financial and Accounting strongly preferred

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Role is primarily charged w/ troubleshooting and optimizing SQL code to include data modeling to fix reporting issues (in a custom-built web application and/or SSRS). This application does financial / accounting reporting functions. (For example: balance statements, income statements, double (journal) entries, snapshot reporting, AP, AP, GL, etc.)Create stored procedures and functionsDevelop and design database objects, such as tables, indexes, constraints, etc.Perform performance tuning of queriesCreate complex queries on large data setsAnalyze query execution plans and optimize database codeGenerate code to extract, transform and load data Research and develop new ways to improve existing functionalityMaintain and review daily, monthly and yearly for financial and accounting issues and reportingProvide support for internal and external auditsParticipate in Ad Hoc reporting requestsWill NOT contribute to ETL or DW developmentWill NOT function as a DBA

Requirements - Knowledge and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university and/or equivalent work experience5-8+ years of SQL development experience that includes:Experience and strong knowledge of SQL Server Fundamentals.Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases (experience with database design, performance tuning, query optimization, indexes, data migration tools, and data analysis)T-SQL; writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functionsStrong SQL performance tuning & optimizationThorough understanding / solid experience with database / data modelingSSRS experienceExperience w/ accounting / finance operations, reporting, etc. (Knows the difference between a balance & income statement for example) Demonstrate personal initiativeAbility to work on multiple tasks simultaneouslyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work well in a fast-paced environmentIndustry experience in financial services and accounting strongly preferred The salary for this role is between $120-150K plus bonus depending on experience. #JBU ABOUT KORE1 Specializing in professional and technical recruiting, KORE1 is committed to supporting top IT, Engineering, Creative, Scientific, Accounting and Finance professionals in their career paths.
