Our Customer located in Southern California is looking for a seasoned Storage focused Storage Architect / Engineer with Advanced level skills with NetApp, Pure Storage, Nutanix, and Brocade configurations and solutions. This position offers an opportunity to play a key role on a dynamic, fast paced, collaborative and highly productive team. You will assist our customer with major Storage System upgrades and migrations utilizing NetApp, Pure Storage Replication, Nutanix Storage and Brocade Fibre-Channel Technology.

The right candidate must be able to:

  • Assist with the Architecture of all Storage Systems in the upgrade and transformation of current legacy Storage Systems.
  • Lead/Assist with the Architecture, Design, Implementation, Migration and Day-to-Day Support of all Storage Systems.
  • Must be able to operate in a multi-storage vendor environment (NetApp Storage, Pure Storage, Nutanix, Brocade)
  • Support storage provisioning and monitoring, developing and automating storage metric reporting, setup and administer migration, replication, backup and recovery routines, and write standard operating procedures
  • Responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to SAN and NAS Storage, Pure Storage, NetApp Storage, NetApp OnTap, Nutanix Storage, Brocade Fibre-Channel Solutions and environments.
  • Participates in day-to-day support of the storage environment ensuring the system hardware, operating systems, and software systems are optimally performing and secure.
  • Provides support and general maintenance of storage hardware and software including contacting vendors and manufacturers.
  • Assigns and maintains storage space based on application requirements.
  • Regularly monitors and tunes storage infrastructure for performance and capacity.
  • Ensures all servers/storage are designed to perform with optimal performance and availability and maintains overall health of all storage systems.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Certifications in Storage Systems or Brocade (preferred).
    • Strong Knowledge of NetApp OnTap, NetApp Storage Systems and Configurations
    • Strong Pure Storage Systems Knowledge
    • Brocade Fibre-Channel Technology
    • Nutanix Storage Solutions
    • Certification in OS Platforms such as Linux or Windows (preferred).

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university is nice to have
    • 5 years related experience in tier 1 storage and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
