Start data: ASAPLocation: San Diego, CADuration: 6-month contract-to-hireCompensation: $60-70/hour W2 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Work as part of a cross-departmental team to sustain, design, develop, and improve existing manufacturing test systems and its applicable processes to transition products from R&D to production. The following activities are key: Develop embedded firmware applicationso Develop and drive new Test System development and V&V activities with vendorso Develop and drive Requirements, Specifications, and V&V plans and reportso Develop statistical process control studies for analysis of manufacturing test datao Study product requirements and be able correlate to both board level and Test System test specificationso Participate in design for manufacturability studieso Develop use-case scenarios for test system and process requirementso Perform gage and high-volume acceptance criteria for manufacturingo Develop, update, drive documentation per FDA regulationso Work with rack and stack hardware on a mix of digital and analog based applications integrated into a MES line. Assist and assume increasing responsibility in the design, development, deployment, test, and sustaining of manufacturing Test Systems Partner with global CMs to implement manufacturing processes by installing and setting up equipment according to specifications, installing software, and testing to guarantee proper function Assure all manufacturing processes efforts adhere to regulatory and quality requirements Work with R&D on new technologies to be implemented into manufacturing Develop LabVIEW based application code using modular instrumentation Develop automated performance-based testing for Product characterization This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: Embedded firmware development Test Engineer experience in High Volume Manufacturing or Sustaining Experience working with National Instruments TestStand and LabVIEW based for manufacturing Strong skills interpreting board level schematics for both digital and analog applications Strong skills interpreting PCBA and System level specifications Ability to trouble-shoot and diagnose down to board level on manufacturing Test Systems Ability to lead and resolve issues working in a team setting with different functional groups Excellent team-oriented communication and organizational skills To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, be detail oriented, and interested in or fluent in quality systems.
