Sr. Systems Engineer (TS/SCI Cleared)

Zachary Piper Solutions is actively seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to support a government contractor that is supporting the U.S Space Force in El Segundo, California.

• Responsible for designing, collaborating, and delivering an array of cutting edge defensive and offensive space systems capabilities to newly developed and existing space systems
• Provide expertise for acquisition strategies on next-generation systems, program execution and recommendations
• Provide technical and acquisition support to Government and contractor milestone reviews to assess requirements traceability
• Oversee concept of operations development, requirements definition, analysis/engineering, research, systems architecting, systems analysis, interface design, data architecture development, validation and verification, systems integration, operational performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis and estimation, and physical configuration analysis
• Coordinate customer activities and contractor/sub-contractor, and vendor oversight efforts throughout the system life cycle
• Ensure the integration of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
• Leverage prior systems engineering experience to provide detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet requirements

• BS Degree in relative Information Technology field with
• 10+ years of related experience
• Prior experience in any of the following: Space/Ground Segment/Space Vehicle Systems Engineering, Avionics Systems Engineering, Requirements and Verification, Specification Development, Interface Definition, or Weapons Systems
• Must have experience with stakeholder/customer interfacing
• Clearance: TS/SCI (with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph)

• Salary range: $200,000-220,000 a year depending on experience and qualifications
