Sr. Tax Preparer

Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Preparer to join our client's team - late season. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation, a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, and excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members.Responsibilities:

Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entities.

Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to provide clients with strategic tax planning advice and solutions.

Collaborate with clients and other team members to gather necessary financial information and documentation for tax preparation.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior tax preparers, assisting them with complex tax issues and helping them develop their skills.

Communicate effectively with clients to address inquiries, provide updates on tax filings, and offer proactive tax planning recommendations.

Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and provide clients with accurate advice.

Assist with tax audits and represent clients before tax authorities when necessary.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in tax preparation, with a focus on individual and business tax returns.

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSeries, UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite.
