Job Responsibilities:- In charge of the infrastructure used to deliver the company's application.- The company has cabinets in two data centers and also run instances of its application on AWS. It is in the process of fully transitioning off the data centers to AWS.- Infrastructure-as-code. Automating infrastructure management.- You will be given significant freedom to do your job the way you think is best.- Doing things that increase security; everything from the compliance side to actually coming up with new technologies that improve visibility and monitoring.- The job would require at least 25% of the time to be spent on security, but if you wanted to be 100% focused on security that would be ok as long as you are a doer, creating systems, not just implementing monitoring to detect events after the fact. The requires someone who creates levers rather than just pulling levers. Qualifications:- At least 4 years (ideally 8 or more) of professional experience in a similar position.- Significant experience in strengthening security, with an interest in doing that here. A DevSecOps engineer could potentially be a fit as long as they are strong enough in the non-security aspect.- Solid experience with AWS.- Linux/Unix systems administration.- Database replication, backups, and monitoring (MySQL).- Network and OS security hardening, monitoring, and auditing.- AWS Lambda.- AWS API Gateway.- Docker.
