Staff Accountant

Description Lisa Cole with Robert Half is partnering with a growing company that is looking to add a staff accountant to the team. This position represents an exciting opportunity to join a growing group of small companies where your contributions can make a big impact. As a rapidly growing business there is also ample opportunity for advancement and growth. This is a direct hire position and will work 100% in the office based in Davis, CA. Assist in the month-end process, including adjusting journal entries and GL reconciliations.

Perform bank reconciliations.

Customer communication including their vendor setup, payment portal maintenance, and collections on past due invoices.

Entering inventory adjustments, creating bills of materials, and assisting with other inventory related duties

File periodic reports such as state sales tax, county property tax, city business license tax, and various governmental surveys.

Support the integration of acquired businesses into Antibodies and Janel accounting protocols and standards.

Evaluate the effectiveness of operating processes and recommend changes to improve productivity while ensuring adequate coverage of control risks.

Support activities between internal audit, external auditors, and management.

Assist with operational audits.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred

1+ years' experience working in an accounting position.
