Staff Accountant

Description We are currently assisting a rapidly growing medical device company in San Diego in their search for a skilled Staff Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis, with the potential for permanent placement. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the financial success of a company on the forefront of innovation in the medical device industry.Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using Quickbooks desktop

Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records

Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies

Requirements - Competent with spreadsheets and databases

Monthly Bank Reconciliation experience highly preferred

Strong familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)

Practical knowledge of bank reconciliations

Demonstrated knowledge of Month-end Reports

Accounts Payable (AP) experience required

Experience with journal entries

Solid understanding of QuickBooks

Adeptness in month end closings

General familiarity with financial reporting

Accruals experience

Earlier work involving Vendor Management

Background working with fixed assets

Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills

Proficient in ERP systems

Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

Spreadsheet and database capabilities
