Staff Accountant

Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in San Bernardino, California. This role primarily involves managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger in our non-profit organization. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes Maintain the general ledger and prepare financial statements Apply knowledge of QuickBooks to perform various accounting tasks Maintain comprehensive and accurate corporate records, documents, and reports Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations Meet processing and reporting deadlines Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits Ensure compliance with GAAP Assist with other accounting projects as needed. Requirements Possess expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficient in Bank Reconciliations and Journal Entries Experience in Month End Close procedures is essential Familiarity with QuickBooks is required Must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Previous experience in a similar role in the non-profit sector is preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
