Staff Accountant

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Junior Staff Accountant in Concord, California. As part of our team, this role will involve handling a variety of accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This position is ideally suited for individuals who are proficient in handling accounts receivable, general ledger, and other accounting tasks in a dynamic workplace environment.Responsibilities: Execute accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and posting payments Review and record donors and pledge payments to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP Act as a backup for the Accounts Payable Department Prepare accounting schedules for individual grant and contract audits, and for the annual audit Utilize Excel to manage data, including the use of pivot tables and V Lookups to import and export data from the accounting system Maintain professional communication with vendors as necessary.Requirements Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with bank reconciliations and journal entries Knowledge and experience with month end close procedures Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
