Description We are in search of an Accountant to join our team in Cupertino, California. This role is focused on contributing to our operations in the non profit educational industry, with a primary emphasis on accounting operations. You will be expected to process customer applications, maintain accurate customer records, and resolve customer inquiries. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Process and manage customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure data integrity Handle customer inquiries, providing timely and relevant solutions Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations Use your CPA skills to enhance the financial decision-making process in the organization Collaborate with the financial team to improve accounting operations and procedures Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management and stakeholders Ensure all financial operations align with state and federal laws Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance workflow efficiency.Requirements Proficiency in accounting operations is essential for the role Certified Public Accountant (CPA) accreditation is required Mastery in financial software is desirable Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Proven experience in financial forecasting and risk analysis In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures Solid knowledge of taxation and regulation compliance procedures Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines is important Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
