Staff Accountant

Description One of our clients in Hayward is looking for a strong Staff Accountant for a contract role. Contact Ade Henderson via LinkedIn for immediate considerationResponsibilities: Manage and process accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate and timely payment and receipt of funds. Perform bank reconciliations to verify the company's financial transactions and ensure financial records are accurate. Maintain and update the general ledger to accurately reflect the organization's financial transactions. Prepare and input journal entries to record financial transactions and events correctly. Perform month end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Use various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to perform accounting tasks efficiently and accurately. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action to ensure payments are up to date. Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Maintain accurate customer credit records. Resolve customer inquiries regarding their accounts or transactions.Requirements Possess practical knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP) Demonstrated ability to handle Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations Experience in managing General Ledger Ability to create accurate Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close procedures Proficiency in using NetSuite accounting software Familiarity with Oracle financial software Experience using QuickBooks for financial management Proficient in SAP financial software Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
