Staff Accountant

Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in Vernon, California. This role involves managing financial tasks and procedures for the company, including the preparation of financial statements and performing general bookkeeping. This opportunity offers a long term contract employment opportunity, making it ideal for those seeking stability and an opportunity to grow within the finance industry.Responsibilities: Oversee the organization's financial procedures and tasks Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance Manage accounts payable and receivable utilizing skills in 'Accounts Payable (AP)' and 'Accounts Receivable (AR)' Regularly reconcile bank statements, ensuring all transactions are recorded Conduct internal audits to ensure financial systems are accurate and efficient Assist with the preparation of budgets, providing insights and recommendations Support with tax preparations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws Apply accounting principles and tax laws to all financial operations Utilize software such as 'NetSuite', 'Oracle', 'QuickBooks', and 'SAP' for efficient financial management Maintain general bookkeeping duties, ensuring all financial records are up to date. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience with Bank Reconciliations Familiarity with General Ledger operations Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries Experience in Month End Close procedures Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and organizational abilities Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred detail oriented certification such as CPA is a plus.
