Staff Accountant

Description One of our clients is looking for a Staff Accountant for a Contract to permanent placement opportunity in Walnut Creek.Contact Ade Henderson via LinkedIn for immediate consideration

Prepare financial statements and regulatory reporting documents.

Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation, and analysis.

Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.

Oversee taxes and abide by federal regulations.

Consolidate and analyze financial data considering company's goals and financial standing.

Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Proven experience as a Staff Accountant, or similar role.

In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Strong proficiency in Excel and accounting software programs.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Working knowledge of financial software.

Effective communication and organizational skills.
