Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the non-profit industry, based in Santa Rosa, California, United States. The role will be integral to our organization, with responsibilities spanning from general ledger operations to financial analysis.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage general ledger operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, and contribute to monthly closings. Collaborate with the finance department and executive management to prepare budgets, financial reports, tax returns, and responses for audits. Evaluate and implement internal control systems and strategies to optimize efficiency. Work closely with auditors to ensure compliance with regulations. Review and maintain accounts payable and receivable. Assist in the preparation for annual audits. Apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work to ensure compliance with applicable standards. Identify any financial discrepancies and discuss these with management. Perform financial analysis, as needed, especially for budgeting and spending. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations and management Expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) and ensuring accurate and timely processing Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy Experience with General Ledger management, including tracking and resolving discrepancies Knowledge of Journal Entries preparation and maintenance Familiarity with Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial data is correctly recorded Proficiency in using NetSuite for various accounting operations Experience with Oracle for managing financial data and transactions Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting and financial management Experience with SAP for managing business operations and customer relations.
