Together, we’re working at the pace of change to improve patient lives with diagnostic tools that address the world’s biggest health challenges.The Staff Business Analyst works with Product Managers, Solution Architects and Program Managers at the forefront of definition for current and next generation medical device products. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of projects to understand the product business domain, model it, and provide comprehensive definition for new product features. The Staff Business Analyst will also work with other analysts to evolve Leica Biosystem’s approach to systems analysis towards standard methodologyMajor Responsibilities Act as the Domain Authority/Subject Matter Expert within multiple software development programmers that may span multiple scrum teams.

Engage and lead discussions and workshops with key technical and product partners, building and maintaining key relationships across Leica Biosystems.

Coordinate and perform the elicitation, prioritization, documentation of program and/or product requirements.

Collaborate with Product Management/Owners to populate, prioritize and lead the program release backlog.

Contribute towards and help drive standard work and process improvements within the analyst group.

Champion standard work in information and requirements management.

Perform functional modelling and analysis of sophisticated problems and of our product business domains and major new features.

Review system analysis artefacts produced by others.

Contribute towards regulatory compliance, product safety and security risk management.

Collaborate with software and verification engineers to align on project needs and compliance.

Capture, document and lead formal system requirements to support formal verification/validation of the product.

As a key member of the Scrum team, support delivery of team objectives as required.

Required Education, Experience & SkillsTertiary qualification in software engineering or a related field.

8+ years’ experience in software product development, 5 of the 8+ years working as a system or business analyst with demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills working with cross-functional teams.

Experience and application of security principles.

Formal certifications in business analysis.

Experience working within a medical device or healthcare environment or other highly regulated domains.

Background in Software Development.

Writing requirements documents and design specifications.

Travel:Minimal < 10%

Possible 3-4 times per year for items such as project meetings, training, and company-wide meetings.
