Fortellis Automotive Commerce Exchange™ platform, a technology engine that enables seamless connections and greater collaboration to occur among everyone involved in serving automobile consumers, such as dealers, manufacturers, software developers, lenders and data providers. Fortellis is growing and expanding. We are looking for a passionate DevOps/Cloud engineer who will be part of the industry-changing efforts. This is a hands-on, results oriented position with innovation and execution mindset. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and working with development teams on a day-to-day basis to create, facilitate and execute the DevOps functions. This position is based in San Jose, CA Responsibilities: - Hands on configure, architect, and maintain production and non-production cloud environments
- Guide the evolution of our cloud infrastructure
- Improve the availability, scalability, observability, and performance of the cloud environments
- Troubleshoot, monitor, support, and maintain the health of environments
- Improve and automate upon our continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline
- Build and create agile development and testing environments
Required Skills: - 8+ overall experience in infrastructure or network architecture, or DevOps, or software engineering/cloud engineering
- 5 + years' experience with configuring, managing, solutioning, and architecting with AWS (Lambda, EC2, ELB, Route 53, SNS, Cloudtrail, API Gateway, Cloudfront, VPC, IAM, Security Hub, Service Mesh)
- 5+ years design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed enterprise applications
- 5+ years of experience in application, infrastructure, database, and networking architecture
- Required AWS solutioning and architectural skills
- Experience with continuous deployment in a high availability environment
- 2+ experience with Linux system administration
- Experience with Container development, and Kubernetes
- 3+ years of experience in Infrastructure automation using Terraform/CloudFormation
- Proficiency in coding/scripting using Python, Go, Perl or any other languages
- Good understanding with Bamboo, Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible or similar tools
- Experience working with distributed teams
- Creative problem-solving, proficient debugging and profiling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An ongoing thirst for new knowledge and ideas, and a passion for software engineering as a Cloud/DevOps Engineer
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, computer science or related field is preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of directly related work experience in one of these fields (work experience may be used to in place of degree)
Good To Have: - Experience configuring Apache or Nginx
- Building AWS Images using Packer or similar tools
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with all or some of the following technologies: Bamboo, Ansible, Chef, NewRelic, AppDynamics, Apigee, CloudWatch, Splunk, Data lake, Data Warehouse.
