Together, we’re working at the pace of change to improve patient lives with diagnostic tools that address the world’s biggest health challenges.The Staff UX Software Engineer is responsible for leading the research, prototyping, planning and execution of UX design activities. They use their experience in UX principles to develop highly polished components and experiences. They will work with the DevOps team to engage in process and workflow automation. They actively seek out and contribute to industry best practices and deploy them in their daily tasking. They are dedicated to constant evolution and continuous improvement and are eager to learn new topics and participate in thorough debates by offering constructive feedback followed by creative and effective solutions. Ultimately responsible for the design, documentation, deployment, and performance of a consistent intuitive user experience.Major Responsibilities Oversee UX software projects

Interact with Engineering and other development leaders

Providing clear guidance and recommendations on technical solutions to optimize value

Write design specifications, interface descriptions, and other documents

Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and process improvements

Prioritize sustainment issues

Mentor team members

Analyze the technical system and business models

Provide constructive reviews and feedback for team members

Set personal goals on a weekly, monthly, and yearly

Manage and secure portfolio of intellectual property relevant to UX

Leadership:

Lead multi-functional project teams to design, deploy, test, and maintain systems and workflows

May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity

Acts as Mentor and subject matter expert for local teams

Provides feedback to the team during reviews and evaluations

Develop long term strategy and messaging to be communicated with full organization

Expresses their views and concerns in an impartial and constructive manner with the intent to resolve issues

Listens to concerns from others and addresses them in an impartial and constructive manner

Required Education, Experience & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related STEM fields, or equivalent experience

6+ years programming languages such as Python, PHP, TypeScript, C/C, C, ASP.Net, Java (4+ years of the 6+ must be in web development technologies such as JavaScript, VUE JS, React, HTML, and CSS)

4+ years creating intuitive, consistent, and responsive user experiences collecting and reporting data for web-based applications

Human factors and ergonomics

Creating and updating design documentation

Design change within a quality management system

Agile methodologies and principles. Preferably Scrum/Kanban

Travel: Minimal < 10%

Desired Education, Experience & SkillsMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related STEM fields
