Overview:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Asset Management (SAM) Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in the field of software asset management, licensing, and compliance.Responsibilities:Software Inventory Management:Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of software licenses and installations.Track software usage and updates.Documentation and Reporting:Support the documentation of software license agreements, entitlements, and compliance records.Assist in generating reports for software asset management activities.Collaboration:Work closely with the Software Asset Management team to gather and organize information related to software assets.Collaborate with IT and procurement teams to ensure accurate records and compliance.License Optimization:Participate in initiatives to optimize software licenses and reduce costs.Contribute to research on licensing models and industry best practices.Vendor Management:Assist in maintaining relationships with software vendors.Support the team in negotiations and communications with vendors.Education and Training:Engage in training sessions to enhance knowledge of software asset management principles.Stay informed about industry trends and updates related to software licensing.
