Description Robert Half's healthcare client in San Ramon is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Surgery Scheduler to join our healthcare team. The Surgery Scheduler will primarily coordinate with physicians' offices to accurately schedule surgical procedures and ensure the right surgical equipment is available. The candidate needs to have strong organizational skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a detail-oriented approach.Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with physician offices and vendors to schedule surgical procedures accurately by working within the time blocks given.

Liaise with physicians and medical staff to gather and confirm necessary surgical equipment and supplies for each procedure.

Compile all relevant patient medical records and history necessary for the procedure.

Handle any changes or cancellations in the surgical schedule promptly and efficiently, and communicate these changes to all relevant parties.

Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date patient records and procedure documentation.

Adhere strictly to healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations.

Handle inbound calls and provide necessary authorizations.

Utilize knowledge of medical coding in the context of a surgery center or hospital setting.

Coordinate schedules and ensure accurate and up-to-date charts and graphs.

Requirements Proficiency in using medical software Demonstrated ability in obtaining and managing authorizations. Familiarity with interpreting and managing charts and graphs. Proven experience in coordinating schedules, preferably in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of medical coding practices and principles. Prior experience in the field of surgery is a plus. Experience in surgery scheduling is required Familiarity with healthcare industry, hospitals, and social assistance is essential.
