TEAM

The Arene Software Platform Team's mission is to simplify software development and increase developer agility by creating tools and processes which enable novel uses of vehicles without compromising safety. We provide products covering the entire ecosystem of next-generation vehicle software development, including developer tools, CI/CD, simulation, data & machine learning platforms, etc.

SRE is a new role that aims to improve production readiness and reliability. SRE is organizational independent from the development team but embedded into the product team in daily work. SRE works on the same code base and products as software developers but focuses on non-functional requirements.

Responsibilities:
    • Design, develop, ship, and motivate the creation of software and systems to increase product reliability and organizational efficiency.
    • Guide reliability practices through the entire software development lifecycle through activities like architecture reviews, code reviews, creating platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and chaos testing.
    • Maintain service health through monitoring and incident response (on-call).
    • Improve service reliability through blameless post-mortem and using code to prevent or respond to problem recurrence.
    • Co-work with product teams on improving products' performance efficiency, cost optimization, operational excellence, and reliability.
Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Experience writing code in Java, C/C, Rust, Go, Python, Shell, or a similar language
    • Experience in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
    • Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks.
    • Strong interest in SRE topics like SLOs, resilience, scaling, performance, and more.
    • Ability to speak and write in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
    • Have hands-on experience with public cloud technologies, Kubernetes, container, Infrastructure as Code.
    • Have hands-on experience with building CI/CD pipelines.
    • Have hands-on experience with troubleshooting and incident management.
    • Can provide substantial feedback on distributed system designs
    • Have previous experience in an SRE or Production Engineering role
