The Systems Administrator is responsible for the deployment, maintenance, support, troubleshooting and optimization of the company’s Enterprise systems and networks, along with all other IT Infrastructure components.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Configure and maintain Hyperconverged virtualized environment, Server, and Storage infrastructure
  • Configure and maintain Azure, Active Directory and O365 and its components
  • Configure and maintain operating system and application patching for both servers and workstations
  • Document, maintain, upgrade, or replace hardware and software systems
  • Create and update incidents within the ticketing system including detailed incident and resolution information
  • Utilize ticketing system to track, prioritize and report on customer issues from initiation to closure, including assisting helpdesk team members with solutions and escalations
  • Monitor and Review logs and alerts for all essential infrastructure, servers, and systems
  • Monitor uptimes, performance baselines and perform troubleshooting
  • Maintain and monitor enterprise backup infrastructure
  • Provide support, systems expertise, and work directly with the IT Ops Retail Team
  • Provide support, systems expertise, and work directly with the IT Ops Support Desk Team
  • Perform IT operational maintenance on all IT systems and networking infrastructure
  • Participate in IT projects that may occur after hours and on weekends, as needed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Department Manager
  • Demonstrate awareness and compliance with loss prevention and safety policies and/or procedures

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
  • Experience with Datacenter technologies such as Racks, PDUs, Battery Backup systems, KVMs
  • Experience with physical server installation: Rack and stack, connecting power and network
  • Proficient in Windows installation, configuration, management, and troubleshooting (Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server, up to version 2022)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and Active Directory administration, Group Policy, MFA/2FA, SSO, and Azure AD Connect
  • Proficient in Windows Server Application Support, including File Serving, IIS, SQL Server, DNS, DHCP, and more
  • Proficient in comprehensive server, storage, and security design as well as operational knowledge (VMware & Nutanix and Dell EMC PowerScale and Isilon)
  • Proficient in phone system management, Mitel and Cisco preferred
  • Experience with Windows command line usage and PowerShell
  • Experience within Mac/OS X, Jamf Pro and Apple iPhones
  • Experience with Network concepts and troubleshooting: LAN/WAN, IP subnetting, VLANs, Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Network commands such as: ping, ipconfig, tracert, etc.
  • Experience with ticketing systems; JIRA preferred
  • Ability to establish and foster effective cross functional and vendor relationships
  • Ability to identify technical issues and opportunities that meet the needs of the business
  • Ability to make decisions independently, or escalate when applicable
  • Strong logic, problem-solving and technical skills along with specific attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills at all levels; written, spoken, digital mediums

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Informational Technology
  • Experience in Datacenter and Enterprise IT environments
  • Experience supporting retail environment technology (Point of Sales systems, credit card terminals, etc.) preferred
