Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager of Systems Engineering & Operations, the System Administrator is responsible for maintaining technical solutions to support the Information Technology Solutions department. The Systems Administrator is also responsible for operating, monitoring, deploying, documenting, patching, and troubleshooting core system infrastructure such as server operating systems, server hardware, virtualization platforms, storage arrays, and applications. The System Administrator position is a subject matter expert in data center-centric to Cloud-based infrastructure that envision future state technologies, delivering increased agility, scalability, performance, and resiliency. This role will support, analyze, administer, and deploy solutions to drive technology modernization and the incorporation of industry best practices. This position is classified as primarily remote with occasional visits to campus as needed. Working hourswill be based on Pacific Standard Time (PST). 4 - 7 years of related experience.Required

Hands-on experience with Windows AD directory, Group Policies, PowerShell, Windows Server environments, and Office 365 components.Required

Demonstrated experience running cloud based workloads on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Required

Demonstrated experience administering both Linux and Windows servers as well hands on experience with Linux shell and Perl.Required

Hands-on experience with server backup tools such as Veeam, Backup Exec, and experience managing complex patching deployments of various systems.Required

Advanced knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies such as VMware ESXi, Docker, or Kubernetes to manage virtualized workloads.Required

Experience installing, managing, and supporting IIS, Tomcat, Weblogic, or other application servers.Required

Experience with the following protocols: HTTP, FTP, DNS, LDAP, IMAP, SMTP, SSL, SSH, CIFS, NFS.Required

Advanced knowledge of computer security best practices and policies including demonstrated experience securing server-based software.Required

Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner.Required

Basic knowledge of installation and maintenance of database platforms: (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, MSSQL).Preferred
