The Systems Director provides technical direction to and management leadership of the Advanced Ground Department (AGD). AGD leads the Aerospace team support for development and integration of enterprise ground systems within the Advanced Systems Directorate of the Space Force's Advanced Communications Acquisition Delta. These tasks include supporting studies for the design, build, test and integration of future communications ground segments, supporting the execution of risk reduction activities, demonstrations, and acquisition Milestones.What You'll Be Doing- Develop, lead and maintain technical strategies, engineering standard methodologies, and mission assurance processes for ground system development
- Work closely with the Space Force management team to identify program technical challenges and provide timely, relevant and high quality solutions
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of program information to senior Aerospace and Air Force managers
- Assist with anticipating the customer needs and create a diverse and agile work force
- Manage resource allocations of program office team and ETG reach back
- Bachelors degree in engineering/science or equivalent
- 12 or more years of progressively responsible applicable experience in systems engineering or program management
- Experience with relevant ground system technologies
- Demonstrated ability to form and lead small, highly productive groups
- Willing to travel domestically & internationally approx. 20%
- Current TS/SCI with the ability to obtain additional clearances.
- Active program clearance for the Space Force's Advanced Communications Acquisition Delta
- Work in mission assurance processes
