This Systems Engineer has to be a key contributor to the maintenance and optimization of the client's network and wireless infrastructure. Submit your application now and learn more about this exciting opportunity!What you get to do every day- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure- Observe and verify application performance for potential bottlenecks, mark possible solutions, and join with developers to instrument those fixes- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution- Install, maintain, configure, and test operating systems, application software and system management tools- Lend a hand to the design of information and operational support systems- Retain redundancy strategies, backup, and security- Be actively engaged to achieve the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability- Give 2nd and 3rd level support- Write down and keep up custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks Requirements - 5+ years of relevant Systems Engineer experience - Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems is required for success at this position- If you have experience with virtualization, you will be strongly preferred for this position- Applicants who have experience with automation software are preferred- This position requires a candidate with experience with monitoring systems- Candidates who have solid networking knowledge will be the best fit for this position- VMware experience desired- Active Directory experience required Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
