Tax Accountant

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Staff - Public based in Torrance, California. This role is crucial in our team as it involves handling multi-state tax accounting tasks and corporate tax accounting. The successful candidate will be expected to be proficient in various accounting functions and auditing, and possess excellent customer service skills. Responsibilities: Processing tax forms – 1120, which involves basic corporate tax accounting. Handling multi-state tax accounting, including corporate income tax. Applying fluency in Japanese (preferred, not required) in performing tasks. Utilizing a variety of software tools such as CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, Gosystem, Management System, and Microsoft Excel in daily operations. Managing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulations. Conducting auditing tasks as required. Handling cash activity and resolving any discrepancies. Providing exceptional customer service in all interactions. Preparing and filing multi-state tax returns. Dealing with all aspects of corporate tax return and corporate income tax. Requirements Proficiency in tax software such as CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax Familiarity with Gosystem and Management System Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Understanding of accounting functions and auditing procedures Experience in handling cash activity Proven track record in compliance with tax laws and regulations Exceptional customer service skills Expertise in multi-state tax, multi-state tax returns, and multi-state returns Experience in preparing corporate tax returns and dealing with corporate income tax Ability to work in a team and independently Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is preferred Familiarity with current tax laws and regulations Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
