Tax Associate

Description Looking for a new role as a Tax Preparer? You will direct the preparation of simple and complex, individual and small business State and Federal tax returns. This is a hybrid temporary to hire opportunity. Take care of clients with incoming calls to facilitate tax questions and set appointments

Perform a final check and invoice for form preparation fees

Ensure client information is up to date/documents

Performing other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

Prepare transaction tax returns utilizing various methods (Paper, E File, EDI Upload) with various government agencies manually

Manually enter correct data into Tax software application

Requirements - Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work

AA or BS/BA in Accounting or finance preferred

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Outstanding data entry skills

Can work independently with minimal supervision

Solid understanding of Form 1099

QuickBooks experience highly desired

Individual Tax Return experience required

Partnership Tax Returns experience

S-Corps experience preferred

Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
