Tax Director

Description Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for an interim Tax Director to oversee our consumer goods clients' tax operations, including provisions, estimates, global consolidation for tax and bookings of journal entries related to tax. This is a leadership position that requires a strategic and forward-thinking individual who is fully equipped to deal with the potential challenges of divestitures and proformas. This is a 4-6 month fully remote engagement beginning immediately.Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage global tax provisions, ensuring accurate and effective procedures.

Lead the preparation and review of proforma financial information, as well as potential divestiture scenarios.

Manage the preparation of reliable current and deferred tax estimates.

Supervise the global consolidation process for tax purposes, ensuring alignment with international tax laws and regulations.

Oversee the booking of journal entries pertaining to taxes, ensuring accurate and timely entries are made.

Contribute to the quarterly and annual tax footnote disclosure process, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Supervise, coach, and develop the tax department staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and consistent learning.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or certification such as a CPA or MST preferred.

Proven experience leading a global tax function, with specific expertise in tax provision and global tax consolidation.

Demonstrated experience with divestitures and proformas.

In-depth understanding of tax codes and laws in multiple jurisdictions.

Strong leadership and team development abilities.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

An analytical mind, with strong problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
