Description We are in search of a Tax Manager - Public, located in Pasadena, California. The chosen candidate will become an integral part of our CPA firm, where the primary role will involve managing staff deliverables, optimizing tax situations for clients, and researching tax guidance. This role also involves interacting with clients, mentoring staff, and contributing to business development efforts. Responsibilities: Review and manage staff deliverables, including tax returns, extensions, and ad hoc work for various entity types. Provide tax planning expertise and strategize to optimize client's tax situations. Conduct research on the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury Regulations, and related tax guidance to resolve tax issues. Handle communication with clients and administer client engagements effectively. Mentor staff members and guide them towards their detail oriented goals. Participate in business development efforts, including meeting with prospective clients, preparing proposals, and evaluating potential new client service needs. Maintain detail oriented and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes, reviewing detail oriented publications, and participating in detail oriented societies. Communicate effectively with all levels of the firm as well as clients. Utilize various accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax. Perform auditing and compliance tasks while managing accounting functions and annual income tax provision.This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a deep understanding of tax management and a passion for client service. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in various accounting software systems.
