Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager - Public in Woodland Hills, California. As a Tax Manager - Public, your primary role will involve managing all tax-related functions including compliance, planning, research, and advisory services. Your role will be critical in providing personalized accounting services to small and medium-sized businesses and requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.Responsibilities: Reviewing and approving tax returns Preparing complex tax returns for a diverse client base that includes individuals, corporations, nonprofits, partnerships, and trusts Conducting comprehensive tax research Communicating effectively with regulatory agencies such as IRS, FTB, etc Calculating quarterly estimates and other computations, including salary projections Engaging in direct communication with clients to address their queries and concerns Overseeing the work of entry level tax accountants to ensure accuracy and compliance Utilizing your knowledge of Lacerte Tax Software and other accounting software to optimize tax processes Working in a team environment while also demonstrating the ability to work independently. Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in a tax management role within a public setting Proficiency in handling all Accounting Functions Expertise in preparing Annual Income Tax Provision Strong understanding of Compliance matters in a public tax environment Must be proficient in using Lacerte Tax Software Ability to prepare and review Annual Tax returns Experience with S-Corps tax preparation and filing Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
