Tax Preparer

Description We are seeking a Tax Preparer to join our team based in Campbell, California. The role will involve using various accounting software systems to process and prepare tax returns for clients. This position is a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Utilize accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax for tax preparation Conduct data entry tasks with a focus on accuracy and efficiency Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their inquiries and resolving issues Handle accounting functions related to tax preparation, including calculating allowances and deductions Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance Use Drake Tax Software for processing tax returns Monitor client accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all client interactions and transactions Verify customer data and tax form entries for completeness and accuracy Collaborate with the team to improve tax preparation processes and procedures. Requirements Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tax Preparer or in a similar role Proficient in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax Experience with Drake Tax Software is preferred Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions and Allowances Excellent Customer Service skills are essential Proficient in Data Entry tasks Knowledgeable about various types of Deductibles Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills A degree in Accounting or a related field is advantageous Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is preferred.
