Tax Preparer

Description Robert Half's peninsula tax client is looking for a strong tax professional skilled in Lacerte! As a Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for preparing and filing federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses. Your expertise in Lacerte will be essential in delivering efficient and accurate service to clients.Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review federal and state tax returns using Lacerte software.

Analyze client financial information and apply tax laws to ensure compliance.

Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation and address inquiries.

Stay updated on tax regulations and changes to optimize client tax strategies.

Assist in the resolution of tax-related issues and audits as needed.

Maintain accurate and organized client records.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Tax Preparer, with a focus on individual and business tax returns.

Proficient in using Lacerte tax software.

Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, EA) are a plus
