A career in our Tax Reporting and Strategy practice, within Innovation services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients' tax departments redesign, redefine, and redeploy tax to be a strategic asset across the enterprise. You'll focus on assisting clients incorporate increased automation in the tax reporting process, increase analytic capabilities through data integration, and create solid internal controls that will enable the Tax function to deliver better quality output and contribute more strategically to organisational decision making.Our team helps our clients expand the tax role to include research, analytics, and technologies to improve how their organisation collaborates and performs. - Tackling current state assessment of business problems, blueprinting a future state technology-enabled solution, capturing impact and value;
- Participating in organizational design, process improvement utilizing broader business process re-engineering efforts (Lean, workflow design, etc.);
- Demonstrating experience with controls, risk management and strategy in implementation of technology platforms;
- Staying up to date on technology trends, emerging tools and best practices in the use of analytics and automation for governance, risk and compliance;
- Demonstrating proven interpersonal and communication skills and ability to effect change through collaboration;
- Maintaining and applying a broad and current industry perspective on technology trends/opportunities, leading practices, cloud & ERP solutions;
- Accounting and financial systems implementation and configuration;
- Leading digital finance/tax transformation projects;
- Scaling and leading analytical teams (e.g. Data Analysts, Business Intelligence Analysts, etc.);
- Working with additional data automation platforms - Knime, Talend, Trifacta;
- Leading teams delivering in RPA platforms - Automation Anywhere, UiPath;
- Working in one or more common programming languages: SAS, SQL, Python, R ;
- Working with predictive or descriptive analytics and working with machine learning;
- Using and/or having exposure to big data approaches: PySpark, Apache Spark, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, Azure ML, Java;
- Working with data engineering/data science and other analytics team to establish data sources that serve business needs around analytics & scenario modeling; and,
- Demonstrating knowledge of data architecture & data governance in relation to setting up data lakes.
