Very simply, this means that AI and Data will fuel all decisions and business processes across the company. At 130B+ dollars in annual revenue, this is a pioneering opportunity to build the data products and talent at a top global telco organization.The Artificial Intelligence and Data ( AI&D) organization focuses on delivering the power of data and AI to drive our marketplace leadership through innovative solutions that create value for our customers, shareholders, V Teamers and society, responsibly.This position in AI&D will play a critical leadership technical role and will be responsible for developing and driving the execution of complex strategies to evolve the customer experience. This role is responsible to orchestrate/design/develop reusable data products utilizing data transformation, real time data ingestion, performs tasks connected with data analytics, testing, and system design in the big data and cloud environments.
  • Developing and driving the execution of complex and strategic data products to feed into ML/AI solutions that provide key insights for real-time decision making with direct impact on customer service.
  • Designing and leading the migration of curation pipelines from the Hadoop ecosystem into the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) ensuring effective governance, data quality and security controls.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to understand key business objectives and priorities to align those with the architecture and implementation of scalable analytical data solutions to improve customer experience.
  • Leading cross-functional teams of architects, data engineers, and global delivery developers to implement complex and large scale transformational programs to improve customer's digital experience across wireless, fiber and enterprise networks.

What we're looking for

You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in collaborating with data engineers, architects, data scientists and enterprise platform team in designing and deploying data products.
  • Hands on experience in designing and building data pipelines.
  • Fluent understanding of best practices for building Data Lake and analytical architectures on Hadoop, Teradata.
Even better if you have:
  • Bachelors / Masters in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering or other related field.
  • Programming experience in mid-range environments such as UNIX, Hadoop and Cloud.
  • Strong ability to understand how data maps to business problems, educate less technical peers / business partners, and raise the collective bar in leveraging data for driving business results.
  • Ability to integrate cross-business strategies and manage enterprise-wide resources.
  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, emerging trends and issues, business and technology.
  • Strong communication, data engineering, organization, and strategic thinking skills in combination with strong technical experience to make a real impact in a growing and leading edge space.
