Technical / Deskside Support III

Description We are in search of a Technical/Deskside Support III (Contractor) to join our team in Sunnyvale, California. In this role, you will be tasked with installing, maintaining, and repairing computer-related products and systems, including hardware, software, networking, and operating systems. This is a long-term contract role in the IT industry that requires a high level of expertise in PC operating systems, networking software, anti-virus software, and server, PC, and printer products. Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair various computer-related products, including hardware, software, and operating systems. Provide support for legacy products, ensuring smooth operation and user experience. Handle call taking and site-specific support, addressing customer inquiries and issues promptly. Support network products from an operational and maintenance perspective. Install and maintain PCs, associated software, networks, servers, and peripherals. Test and certify PCs, networks, servers, and client-approved applications. Perform installs, moves, adds, and changes (IMACs) as required. Provide follow-up on problems or escalation, taking responsibility for potential or desired follow-up. Advise customers on preventative maintenance to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain a functional understanding of company service solutions and follow up on client-specific internal procedures and service delivery requirements. Possess advanced PC support capability and the ability to troubleshoot software and hardware problems. Stay updated on servers, storage systems, Microsoft/Linux/Unix applications, network protocol, internetworking configuration. Lead and direct the work of others as needed and handle smaller, less complex project management responsibilities. Requirements Preferred Skills: -Microsoft Office (all versions), Handhelds (Desktop and Handheld software) Printers and Laptops.

Experience in troubleshooting software and hardware problems

Knowledgeable in servers, storage systems, Microsoft/Linux/Unix applications, network protocol, internetworking, configuration, and possess advanced PC support capability

Ability to test and certify PC, networks, servers and software applications and associated peripherals

Ability to gain knowledge of and follow up on client specific internal procedures and service delivery requirements

Excellent analytical and communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal)

Ability to work and plan tasks independently, tolerance for stress
