You will work closely with Research & Development, Applications, and Operations Engineering on new and existing product developments, and lead product and process improvements. Our team supports world-class electron microscope systems used by scientists and engineers to drive innovation around the globe. Our products have been instrumental in Nobel prize-winning discoveries, have been highlighted by National Geographic, and were awarded Gold at the Edison awards.Location/Division Specific InformationThis is a fully remote role. The ideal candidate will be located in one of the following locations:Fremont, CA; Hillsboro, OR; Richardson, TXMaterials and Structural Analysis DivisionA Day in the Life:

Provide exceptional technical assistance (remote & onsite) to the regional service teams for EFA product lines

Cross-train team members to increase knowledge of EFA products

Collaborate with the central Global Technical Service (GTS) team and multi-functional departments to bring in service-related requirements and ensure support throughout the system's life

Drive Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time Before Failure (MTBF) to optimize system performance

Determine and recommend improvements for service tools, repair and installation work instructions

Contribute to spare parts documentation and associated work instructions

Offer input and recommendations on diagnostic and test procedures for system support

Develop sophisticated documentation for service validation and validate service documentation and software

Cultivate positive working relationships with Field Service Engineers (FSE’s), Applications, other Global Technical Support (GTS) groups, Development, and Operations.

Keys to Success:Minimum QualificationsEducation

4-year degree in Electronics, Mechanics, IT, or related fields preferred, Associate's degree required.

Experience

7+ years Demonstrated expertise with EFA systems preferred

Proven track record with service and/or manufacturing in the high-tech industry or laboratory

Experience working with fab customers and an understanding of semiconductor business

Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesComfortable working with analytical equipmentAdaptable technical know-how and hands-on experience in diverse fields to address and resolve issues

Project leader skills

Proficient in English (verbal and in writing)

Spanish a plus

International Travel (20% - 30% of working time following initial training period)
