In this position, you will be responsible for technical functions in support of engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modifications, fabrications, of design circuitry, electromechanical systems, or specialized test equipment. You will conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect data or assist in research work. May perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assignments are semi-routine in nature. Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems. Normally receives general instructions on most work.

Responsibilities will include:• Environmental and Dynamics Test Setup – Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, and Test Plans/Procedures), Setting up lab equipment, fixtures and tools as necessary. Tests include temperature & humidity stress, shock & vibration.• Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with engineers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data• Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data, working closely with engineers and stakeholders in a collaborative environment. Ensure device functionality – After stress test completion perform functionality test on Solid State Drives to assess mechanical damage.• Lab Maintenance - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:• Be self-driven able to assess the status of the lab and know how to provide support to enable Engineers.• Attention to detail by tracking/maintaining test equipment and tracking HVI.• Communication skills specifically interacting with Test Engineers to ensure quality test environments.• Skills to methodically and logically work through HW setup issues and resolve them.• Work in a team environment completing support requests and assisting team members to do the same.

Note: must follow all outlined safety guidelines and procedures at all times while working in the lab

Working Conditions:• Must be willing to work in a lab environment spending most of the time in the lab working on environmental and dynamics test execution. Test lab may have some exposure to sudden, loud noises• Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves.• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications:Minimum qualifications include the following:• Possess an associate's degree (preferred) or Technical Certification or related experience in a relevant STEM (Science or Technology or Engineering or Mathematics) field• 12+ months of experience in a laboratory setting• Able to follow process controls and safety procedures at all times• Ability to independently trouble shoot test equipment & test set ups

Preferred qualifications:• Hands-on experience with environmental & dynamics tools in a lab environment.• Experience with soldering and setting up data monitoring and data logging devices.
