This individual will be responsible for working with Sensor and Infusion RD Engineers to test electrochemical sensors for RD applications. The position is responsible for enabling business critical functions to develop and release products by innovating on, developing, improving, and validating glucose sensor test systems. As technology advances and new products are created that are smaller, last longer, can process more data, etc. test systems must evolve at the rate of product development. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the overall in-vitro test system strategy for existing and new products.Own the installation, operation, and maintenance of buffer-based fluid test systems in the department under minimum supervision.

Execute formal test protocols related to scientific work and document test results.

Communicate with all levels of staff regarding issues that may come up with procedures and work towards continuous improvement of test systems.

Download and process sensor testing data, generate and distribute plots to sensor investigators.

Maintain a list of test equipment and their calibration dates and manage the inventory to make sure all the equipment gets calibrated before due date.

Support the research, development, and characterization of sensor platforms by assembling and/or testing prototype parts.

Execute failure analysis to identify root causes for part failures observed in prototype sensor products.

Manage and prepare supplies as needed to support in vitro test system operation.

Ensure all product, material, parts, and documentation comply with company specifications and quality standards.

Foster a good working relationship with peers, functional managers and engineering staff.

Handle production materials and chemicals per operating procedures.

Other duties as assigned to support cross functional activities.

Must Have Minimum RequirementsTo be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume.High School Diploma or GED

Minimum of 4years of experience in Medical Device RD and/or manufacturing.

May require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.

Nice to HaveExperience with medical device or pharmaceutical development and manufacturing

Previous experience with operation of pressurized flow-based fluid test systems

Previous experience with failure analysis

Previous experience with handling biohazard substance for testing and proper disposal.

Previous experience with Mainsaver software

Experience managing material inventory in the lab for testing and ensuring timely purchase based on usage

Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively present information to other employees.

Training in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and knowledge of Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

Hands on experience searching, extracting and routing documents on Agile PLM system

Previous experience with electrochemical sensor testing

Previous experience preparing buffer solutions
