Technology Analyst

Technology Analyst (Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (PIMCO) – Newport Beach, CA); Multiple positions available. Develop and deliver complex platforms that enable decision making and employ techniques such as data modeling to optimize investment decisions. Collaborate with project managers, technical leads, and business owners to design and develop trading systems and enhancements that support business objectives. Identify the core functionality required from PIMCO's computer systems, including their level of security and performance needs, such as calculating requirements for the amount of memory, storage, and computing power the computer systems need. Analyze users' needs to determine software requirements. Confer with software developers, engineers, programmers, project managers, and others within PIMCO Technology to obtain information on computer systems' limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Design, test, develop, and enhance software solutions to meet those needs. Recommend upgrades as appropriate for existing programs and systems and collaborate within the Technology division to create optimum system functionality.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Must have experience, education, or training in each of the following: C#; C; Python; JavaScript; Visual Studio Code; Machine Learning; Data Structures; HTML; and CSS. Experience, education, or training may be gained concurrently.
