Manager - National Risk & Financial Advisory Technology Excellence (Spark)

As part of the Risk & Financial Advisory Commercial Office's Technology Excellence team, Spark is a strategic initiative that creates digital assets and experiences to help client service professionals to be successful in positioning our solutions and technologies in the marketplace. It combines innovation, technology, storytelling, visual design, functional interaction, and creativity to develop experiences that position our solutions and technologies with our clients - through exploration, immersion, and collaboration.

As an Experience Lead, you will have an opportunity to manage and execute the design and development of client-facing digital experiences - and other related assets and collateral - working closely with onshore and offshore team members and stakeholders from the business. You will manage - either in conjunction with an Experience Lead or on your own - the development of digital sales experiences. You will focus on aligning with the solution and technology teams on objectives, discovering and developing the relevant components of the experience, bringing the experience to life through thoughtful visual design and interactive functionality, and supporting the solution and technology teams to adopt and operationalize the experience. A successful Experience Lead is an enthusiastic and quick learner, and proficient relationship-builder.

Work you'll do

The Experience Lead role will give you a unique and strategic opportunity to work with a wide array of solution leaders and team members to build and develop experiences that help position us in the market - allowing our clients to better understand and become excited about how Risk & Financial Advisory's solutions and technologies can address their unique challenges and opportunities. Specific responsibilities of the Experience Lead will include:
  • Developing and creating high quality and consistent immersive experiences for Risk & Financial Advisory's solutions and technologies
  • Simultaneously leading and managing multiple experience developments - in close collaboration with the solution and technology teams as well as the Spark onshore and offshore team members - from conceptualizing and developing the experiences, to coordination with the design and functionality teams, to finalizing the experience build, to effectively transitioning the experience to the solution teams
  • Understanding and validating with our solution and technology teams their top of mind business needs, objectives, challenges, and key priorities
  • Demonstrating strong storytelling abilities, including the ability to translate solution or technology key objectives into a story that will bring the experience to life for our solution and technology teams - and, ultimately, our clients
  • Participating, managing, and leading creative working sessions and design reviews with onshore and offshore team members to develop a clear visual identity (design and functionality) to convey the purpose and connection to the overall project objectives
  • Serving as the manager amongst: solution and technology team leadership (in setting overall objectives and obtaining buy-in at key points), solution and technology team point(s) of contact (in leading through the day-to-day experience, content collection, and design development), and Spark team members (onshore and offshore resources working together to bring an experience to fruition)
  • Escalating issues to more senior Experience Leads or the Spark Team Lead as required to keep projects on track
  • Leading / supporting special projects as the Spark strategy and priorities continue to evolve
  • Working collaboratively with a highly creative, innovative, and motivated team
  • Collaborating with other pillars within the Commercial Office on strategic priorities as assigned
  • Identifying and pursuing innovative avenues to promote adoption of Spark experiences throughout Risk & Financial Advisory and cross-functionally within Deloitte
  • Exploring net-new or new use cases for existing cutting-edge digital experience tools and technologies

The team

The Spark team sits within the Risk & Financial Advisory Commercial Office as part of the Technology Excellence pillar and is primarily focused on positioning Risk & Financial Advisory's solutions and technologies with our clients. This includes working closely with leaders, solutions owners, and engagement teams to help them best position solutions and technologies with our clients. We work with a strong sense of camaraderie towards collective success, use creative brainstorming to deliver ever-growing value to the business, and share a deep commitment to excellence.

We are entering our fifth year and have set out a bold strategy. We are looking for talented, innovative, creative, and hands-on professionals who thrive in highly collaborative team environments and can also work and manage projects independently with minimal day-to-day oversight.

As the ideal candidate, you will be a high-performing Manager with strong interpersonal skills, project management capabilities, team collaboration and development skills, and a passion for creating innovative, dynamic, unique experiences for our solution, technology, and account teams. The ability to constructively and effectively advise and consult with our solution and technology teams is a must. You will be comfortable asking for help, have a strong team orientation, and will prioritize team effectiveness and success above individual recognition.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years direct experience serving clients by delivering services through a function - or similar time and experience working in a commensurate role in developing immersive and engaging experiences
  • Professional experience that demonstrates an ability to be strategic in helping to plan, manage, and execute projects while at the same time being able to think creatively, tell a story through words and visual design, and keep innovation at the forefront
  • An ability to articulate your ideas and negotiate with stakeholders, often those senior to you, to embrace new and unorthodox ideas
  • Strong executive presence and communications capabilities
  • Solid project management, client relationship management, and time management skills
  • A self-starter with a demonstrated ability to switch between working independently and working as part of a supportive team
  • Manage risks, knowing what and when to escalate issues to leadership
  • Experience and flexibility working closely with onshore and offshore team members and across time zones
  • Limited Visa sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel 5-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
  • Strengths in working with technology - both Risk & Financial Advisory's technology solutions and/or interactive and engaging immersive technologies - is a plus
  • Interest and experience with analytical methods and tools, including data visualization, are desirable
